UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES OF SRI LANKA

Eight World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka have been inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage namely, the sacred city of Anuradhapura ,the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, the ancient city of Sigiriya, the Golden Temple of Dambulla , the old town of Galle and its fortifications, the magnificent temples and palaces of the royal city of Kandy, Sinharaja Forest Reserve and Central highlands of Sri Lanka.

Sigiriya rock fortress - (Declared 1982)
Sacred city of Kandy - (Declared 1988)
Dutch fortifications at Galle - (Declared 1988)
Sinharaja forest reserve - (Declared 1988)
Golden temple of Dambulla - (Declared 1991)
Central highlands - (Declared 2010)
