The history of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Sri Lanka begins in the fourth century A.D. According to traditional history it was during the reign of Kirti Sri Meghavanna. The Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha was brought to Sri Lanka from Kalinga in India (301-328 AD). A Temple for the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy was first built by King Vimaladharmasuriya I, when he ascended the throne of the Kandyan Kingdom in 1592 AD

What can I say which hasn't been said so far? Anyone planning a trip to Sri Lanka needs to contact this company. We arranged 3 day trips through Select Sri Lanka with the customer service being second to none. At each and every stage, we were provided with plenty of information and prices that were reasonable. We also found them to be the cheapest company to pick up and drop off at the airport. Our driver was Kasan and was an absolute pleasure. We done the Galle day tour, Kandy tour and safari trip and each trip was well worth it...

A big thank you to Select Sri Lanka Tours a local agency (Kalatura) very serious. From France, we organized our stay and we spent holidays merveilleuses. Tour thanks to Mr Gayan that meets all our mails. Less prices are reasonable and the drivers are always on time, helpful, friendly and good drivers .It misses the French spoken! For those who love animals, we recommend Yala National Park where we had the chance to see the cheetahs or take the tour of the orphanage elephants in Kandy...

My new husband and me visited Sri Lanka as the first stop of our honeymoon. We booked with Gayan and select for a 2 day safari with overnight hotel. We are a family with 2 teenage daughters and wanted to make the most of our visit to Sri Lanka. The safari was a highlight of the holiday we got to see elephants in their natural surroundings along with a host of many other animals.The guides are fantastic and were great company as well as informative. If you visit sri lanka then you must take a safari.We had no problems with select they kept us up to date on pick up times and any other relevant information needed.
